Gree Won Five Awards at Nuremberg Invention Exhibition

Recently, the 72nd Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition was held in Germany. Winning five invention awards by virtue of its independent innovation achievements, Gree has become the one that had the most awards at the exhibition and the only company that received the gold award in the Chinese home appliances industry, which fully demonstrates our independent innovation strength and world-leading scientific research capabilities.

Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition:

The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the International Federation of Inventors’ Association (IFIA), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, and the German Invention Association. As the world’s oldest and most authoritative invention exhibition, it enjoys a high reputation worldwide for its large scale, strict and professional selection mechanism.

At this exhibition, Gree Electric won a gold award, a silver award and three bronze awards with its independent research and development achievements. The gold award goes to Gree’s “Servo System for Industrial Robots” with Dong Mingzhu as the first inventor. This is the only gold award for Chinese home appliances at this exhibition. At the same time, Gree’s “Distributed Air Supply Heat Pump Air Conditioner” took the silver award. The three projects, namely “Six-axis Industrial Robot”, “Development of Fully-disassembled Dual-duct High-efficiency and Uniform Humidifier Product” and “High-efficiency Room Temperature Catalytic Formaldehyde-removal Air Purifier”, won the bronze awards.

It can be seen that our award-winning projects at this invention exhibition are involved in multiple fields including air conditioners, purifiers and industrial manufacturing. In recent years, while maintaining the advantages in air conditioning, Gree has also continued to make efforts in different fields, and has achieved significant results.

From household consumer products to industrial intelligent equipment, Gree’s comprehensive achievements at the 72nd Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition has allowed our core technologies to be recognized globally. This is also a microcosm of Gree’s remarkable success in international authoritative certifications in recent years.

In December 2018, Gree was recognized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and awarded 12 patent awards by China National Intellectual Property Administration, including the first China Patent Gold Award in the air conditioning industry; in November 2019, Gree won four awards at the 71st Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition; in March 2021, Gree won five gold awards and one silver award at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. So far, Gree has applied for 87,364 domestic patents, 4,148 international patents, and possessed 33 “world-leading” technologies.

Relying on independent innovation, Gree will lead China's manufacturing to a greater world stage and gain international recognition. At the same time, the global market also puts forward higher requirements and expectations to us. As Dong Mingzhu said, “Innovation is an eternal topic and challenge is our driving force.”

In the future, we will continue to overcome the challenges of high-quality development by insisting on independent innovation, and make more development results to enjoy worldwide prestige.
