Gree Ultra Heat Technology Accredited by NA

On local time, June 20th, the “Gree New Product Launch Conference & Awarding of CSA Letter of Attestation for Gree’s Ultra Heat” was held in Montreal, Canada. Gree is highly recognized by the Canadian market for its excelsior technical standards.

Mr. André Caillé, former Chairman of the World Energy Council and former President of Quebec Hydro Energy Company, Mr. Gianluca Arcari, Vice President of CSA Group, Fan Jianbo, Director Assistant of Gree Testing Center, Ouyang Jun, Vice General Manager of Gree Overseas Sales Company and other participants attended this event and gave speeches. Gree Canada’s overseas customers and many media representatives participated in this New Product launching express conference.

Mr. André Caillé expressed in his speech that the electricity consumed by heating under normal conditions takes about 60% of electricity. If both cooling and heating are driven by electricity, the stability of the power supply can be balanced and the efficiency of the national grid will be improved. Gree self-developed ultra-low temperature air conditioner is not only eco-friendly, but also very suitable for the cold winters in Canada.

CSA EXP 07:19, the milestone of air conditioner performance test

In the past, most performance testing methods required equipment to be monitored under stable status, at fixed capacity, and under specific, fixed indoor and outdoor air conditions. The CSA EXP 07:19 provides tests and rating methods based on load and specific climate for heat pumps and air conditioners, and innovatively proposes an alternative method for testing the performance of heat pumps and air conditioners that can be further used as a basis of standardization.

According to Gree technicians, “CSA EXP 07:19 adopts a test method based on dynamic load, in which indoor rooms are subjected to simulated load, allowing the equipment to respond correspondingly when the device attempts to maintain the required indoor conditions, while outdoor room conditions remain the same. This allows the actual behavior of the equipment and control to be measured in a test facility in a way that is more representative of field performance.”

It is known that during the preparation process, through the cooperation with CSA, Gree combined the characteristics of self-developed ultra-low temperature air source heat pump with the local low temperature climate conditions in Canada, and associated with the Northeast Energy Efficiency Alliance, Canada Natural Resources Department, Purdue University, and mainstream power companies of Canada to jointly research. After rigorous tests, a large number of key low-temperature actual operation data were extracted. Finally Canada’s first heat pump and air conditioning performance evaluation procedure CSA EXP 07:19 was successfully launched, and officially released at CSA website.

After that, Gree ultra heat series products through several months of severe ultra-low temperature limit tests, have successfully obtained CSA Letter of Attestation and Mr. Fan Jianbo introduced Gree’s leading position and achievements in the field of ultra-low temperature heat pump technology.

World leading technology, solving the problem of low temperature heating in North America

“Ultra-low temperature unit adopts the special triple-cylinder two-stage DC inverter compressor of variable volume ratio independently developed by Gree, which can ensure the high-frequency and high-displacement input of the compressor at high load, and can avoid low-frequency operation of compressor at ultra-low load. The frequency operation improves the operation reliability and heating performance of the unit. The triple-cylinder two-stage rotary compressor of variable volume ratio can achieve a wide range of stable operation between -35 °C ~ 54 °C, even if the outdoor temperature is -35°C, the indoor temperature can reach 25 °C. Due to the strong power of the compressor, it can solve the heating problem of air conditioners under ultra-low temperature and greatly improve the energy efficiency, providing clean energy heating for extremely cold regions, which is energy-saving and eco-friendly,” Gree overseas technicians introduced to reporters.

“We hope that the launch of Gree Ultra Heat products will enable more overseas users to enjoy the warm, comfortable, energy-saving and better life brought by the core technologies of China’s independent innovations,” said Jun Ouyang, General Manager of Gree Overseas Sales Company, in the subsequent media interview.

In response to CSA EXP 07:19’s publish, North American industry partners said that they have fully realized the necessity of this test method. After deep cooperation with Gree, it is believed that with the latest development of heat pump and air conditioning technologies, CSA EXP 07:19 has the potential to optimize the performance of heat pumps and air conditioners under a wide range of operating conditions.

Mr. Gianluca, Vice President of CSA Group, made a speech at the meeting, “CSA Group truly values its relationship with Gree, and we wish to congratulate everyone here today on a successful North American product launch!”
