Gree Won the Bid of World Cup Competition Venue

On July 20, a handover ceremony of the project of Gree High-efficiency Water-cooled Screw Chiller for Mordvinia competition venue was held in National Hotel, in the city center of Moscow, Russia.

Mordvinia competition venue is a new stadium built for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Gree has become the exclusive brand of chiller in this football stadium, which means the large air conditioner independently developed by China will show up again on the international stage.

"Made in China” guarantees “the most eco-friendly World Cup"

The air conditioning solution that has won the bid is LHE Series High-efficiency Water-cooled Screw Chiller, a large air conditioning unit that was developed independently by Gree with self-owned intellectual property rights. It adopts advanced semi-hermetic dual-screw compressor, the latest high-efficiency heat exchanger and optimized new type throttling device, which all together function to improve the operation efficiency and reduce running cost.

In addition, the unit adopts R134a eco-friendly refrigerant. Designed with multiple core technologies of Gree, this unit is much more efficient and energy-saving. Its energy efficiency reaches grade one, and COP is up to 6.2, a perfect demonstration of Gree's vision "for the clearer sky and greener earth". It is a strong support for Russia's idea of "hosting the most eco-friendly World Cup ".

Mordvinia competition venue was located in Saransk, Russia. The construction was started in 2010 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. Its standard capacity is 30,000 people; however, it is going to house about 45,000 people during the World Cup games. It is built especially for the World Cup, the play ground for the group games of the 2018 World Cup.

Frequently speak for "Made-in-China" in international events

This is not the first time that Gree is associated with the World Cup. Far early in 2010, Gree was chosen to provide multi VRF units, screw chillers, unitary air conditioners, air processing terminals, etc. for 7 large projects of the World Cup, including the opening ceremony and main competition venues of South Africa World Cup (Soccer City), office building for officials from the World Cup (the building of South Africa Football Association, SAFA House), World Cup Sinaba Competition and Training Stadium, and South Africa Gautrain high-speed railway project and Protea chain hotel, the important supporting projects of the World Cup. This is the first time that Chinese central air conditioners have won the bid of the main competition venue of the World Cup. Gree thus became one of the few air conditioner brands that are capable to provide complete solutions for the basic necessities of the World Cup (catering, housing, transportation and competition).

By virtue of the powerful technical strength, outstanding product quality and complete after-sales service, Gree products will certainly gain popularity from people in Russia and even around the globe, leading the development of a better world with "Made-in-China".
