Again! “Made in China” Wins Int’l Awards
2018-04-23

A few days ago, the 46th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (“Geneva Inventions”) announced its grand opening. With independent research and development projects, Gree attended the show for the first time and won 3 gold awards.

Established in 1973, Geneva Inventions was under the patronage of the World Intellectual Property Organization and Swiss Federal Government. It is not only one of the world’s four great invention shows, but also one of the invention shows with the longest history and largest scale in the world. As an important exhibition stage for global newly-invented products and an international platform to expand overseas market, Geneva Inventions is well known around the world due to its strict standards and professional identity.

“Made in China” Shines on Global Stage

Competed with over 1,000 projects of 40 countries, three self-developed projects of Gree were awarded with gold prizes.

The PV Direct-driven Inverter AC won the gold award of Geneva Inventions, as well as the Special Gold Award issued by the jury members;

The High-efficiency Permanent-magnet Synchronous Inverter Centrifugal Chiller won the gold award of Geneva Inventions, as well as the Best Invention Award issued by the Thai delegation;

The Triple-cylinder Two-stage Rotary Compressor of Variable Volume Ratio won the gold award of Geneva Inventions, as well as the Best Invention Award issued by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations.

Independent Innovation  Core Technology

As ecological problem is increasingly severe, green science and technology has become a significant part of China’s innovation and development. In the field of environmental technology, Gree is always insisting on an innovative way, aiming at providing superior green products and services for global users.

PV Direct-driven Inverter AC

In 2013, the world’s first PV AC which cost no electric charge was invented by Gree. Later, PV Centrifugal Chiller and PV Multi VRF systems were launched successively; a brand new era for central ACs started. In 2017, Gree G-IEMS was unveiled; a new energy ecological environment is gradually constructed.

High-efficiency Permanent-magnet Synchronous Inverter Centrifugal Chiller

Compared with general centrifugal chiller, its energy conservation effect is over 40% and IPLV is up to 11.68. In 2011, the project was accredited as “Globally Innovated, World Leading”; in 2012, it was approved as national key energy conservation promotion technology; in 2013, it was approved as national key new product technology; in 2013, it was awarded with Outstanding Achievement Award issued by AHRI; in 2015, it won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award issued by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration. Moreover, a series of projects have adopted this unit, including the Great Hall of the People, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and International Air Exhibition Hall.

Triple-cylinder Two-stage Rotary Compressor of Variable Volume Ratio

Its proprietary intellectual property rights and core technologies belong to Gree completely. In September of 2016, it was accredited as “World Leading”. It has applied 68 national patents (among which 66 are invention patents) and 4 international patents. Heat pump air conditioning systems adopting triple-cylinder two-stage compressor technology of variable volume can realize stable operation between -35℃ to 54℃, and conduct heating under -25℃ with 100% heating effect.
